Yasuko Hirata baroque violin
Japanese violinist Yasuko Hirata was born in Tokyo, and started playing the violin at the age of 6. She received a bachelor degree in economics from the Kwansei Gakuin University in Japan(1993), where she played as a concertmaster of the Kwansei Gakuin Orchestra,with which she had concert tour in Germany and Holland including at The Concertgebouw in Amsterdam.
From 1994 , Yasuko studied violin performance and teaching at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague (Holland) under the direction of Prof. Theodora Geraets and received her BA diploma in 1999. Since 2000, Yasuko has been living in Israel.
From 2007 to 2014 she performed as a baroque violinist as one of the establishing members of the “Barrocade", “The Jerusalem Baroque Orchestra”, “Ensemble PHOENIX” “Israeli Bach Soloists “ and others ensembles from abroad .
As a classical -modern violinist, Yasuko performed with “The Tel-Aviv soloists ensemble”, as a member of The Israel Netanya Kibbutz Orchestra, and since September 2022 ,Yasuko is a member of Haifa Symphony Orchestra. Also active as a chamber musician, In 2001 Yasuko started recitals with pianist, Irit Rimon; in 2011 she established piano trio “Maayan trio”, and in 2018, the “Galilee trio". Yasuko also performed in various chamber music projects of Ensemble Spectrum (director: Zvi Carmeli) appearing as a soloist and concertmaster of the new orchestra project in 2018 .
